Dr Gearty has been practicing in South Calgary since 1992. She
opened her existing office in 1999 having previously worked as an
associate dentist in the area. She grew up in Ireland and graduated
as a dentist at Trinity College Dublin before working for a short
time in rural Ireland, Cambridge and London (UK). She moved to
Alberta in 1988, certified to work as a dentist in Canada and
worked in Oyen, Alberta before moving to Calgary in 1992.
Dr Gearty is committed to staying current with the latest
developments in the dental field and attends many continuing
education seminars and conventions. She is a member of the Alberta
Dental Association and College, the Canadian Dental Association and
The Academy of General Dentists. She also has privileges with the
Calgary Health Region to treat patients under General Anaesthetic
at their Non Hospital surgical facilities.
She believes the most important part of her work is the trusting
relationship she takes care to build with every patient.
Dr Gearty is married to her wonderful husband, Paddy, and they
have two lovely children, Thomas and Emma.
THE TEAM
At Dr Gearty’s office we have a highly trained team to serve
you. They are all knowledgeable, caring and experienced people. Deb
(our treatment coordinator and receptionist) and Lynn (our dental
assistant) have been with Dr Gearty since the office opened in
1999.
Our hygienists are dedicated to help you achieve and maintain a
lifetime of dental and oral health – as comfortably as
possible!
